Annual Meeting Minutes
Wells College alumnae have played
a vital role in the history of their alma mater. In 1874, only six years
after the founding of the college, the alumnae created a formal association.
The Alumnae Association’s mission is to strengthen and promote the active
network of alumnae and to create opportunities for alumnae to provide purposeful
and rewarding service that will extend and enrich the mission of Wells
College.
All graduates of Wells College
and non-graduates who were registered students for at least one year shall
be members of the Association when the class to which they belonged has
graduated from Wells College. Each class is an entity of itself, but also
a part of the larger Alumnae Association.
The WCAA Board works to benefit
alumnae and the college. Association members also nominate three trustees
to the College Board of Trustees. Two full-time Wells staff members support
the work of the Association.
