FARGO
Mission Statement
Recognizing that the vitality
of any educational institution is, in large part, dependent upon the strong
support and involvement of its graduates, the Wells College Frie nds
and Recent Graduates Organization, FARGO, was founded in 1994. FARGO is
comprised of all alumnae who have not yet celebrated their tenth reunion
and is governed by an executive committee and a board of directors. An
Alumnae Association liaison to the FARGO Board will facilitate communication
between the Association and FARGO, encouraging dialogue and cooperation
between the two organizations and providing a vehicle for the concerns
and ideas of FARGO alumnae to be heard by the Association.

Broadly stated, the mission
of FARGO is to promote the active involvement of recent graduates by enriching
the experience of current Wells students, supporting and strengthening
the world-wide network of Wells alumnae, and working to assure that Wells
College continues to be a vital and leading force in liberal arts education
into the 21st century and beyond. These goals will be accomplished through
active and increased participation by FARGO alumnae in the life of the
college, including admissions, campus events and programs, alumnae activities,
and fund raising efforts.
