| Faculty
and staff comprise an integral part of the Wells community. Through their
dedication and commitment to the college, these individuals play an essential
role in educating students and preparing them for leadership in many fields
and endeavors.
Faculty
and staff give of themselves in many ways from sharing expertise in the
teaching arena to giving their time in collaborating on interdepartmental
projects to administering the college. Another way faculty and staff make
a significant positive impact on the college is through giving to the Annual
Fund.
Through
giving to the Annual Fund, members of the faculty and staff directly support
students, the work of their colleagues, and academic programs with which
they are deeply connected. Giving also provides a thoughtful way of honoring
a special colleague upon retirement or one who has served as a mentor.
In
addition to the traditional
giving vehicles, faculty and staff have the added option of making
their gift through payroll deduction. This convenient plan allows college
employees to have gift payments automatically spread over a specified number
of pay periods. Gifts are deducted on an after-tax basis allowing donors
to claim charitable gift credit on tax returns.
