Before Halloween, for many generations, the upperclasswomen at Wells have told ghost stories to the Underclasswomen. These stories are passed down orally from class to class, and therefore are constantly evolving.  We have included a couple other odds and ends -- an account of a hanging on Wells land from a clipping amongst the Hollcroft papers, and a spooky story written by an alumna about the Library itself. There are no documents in the Wells College Archives to either prove or disprove the accuracy of the stories.
